The Problem:
Fish farmers are facing a recurrent problem whether when purchasing new fish fingerling from the providers or when distributing the fingering during the feed as primitive methods, such as "tea strainers" are used in counting the fish, resulting in a shortage of agreed quantities.
The size of the fingerling is 12 centimeters almost the size of the finger of the hand. According to the Cooperation of Mariout Valley Fish farmers, this process takes from 5-6 hours for the number of 40 -150 thousand fish and sometimes days for counting by primitive way, not only the problem in the submitted effort and time but also in the lack of accuracy in the available methods cause shortage in the delivered quantities leading to less efficient utilization of the aquaculture as well as potential disputes between the seller and the buyer.(1)
